Are we better off having any anti-capitalist speaking in the mainstream media or are we worse off that this tired, old explanation is what gets presented as a critical 'scientific' interpretation of capitalism?

I had a similar feeling watching this Troy. He conforms so perfectly to the mould of the stereotypical Marxist, it's as though he's a walking caricature. There's something smug about saying "I'm trying to understand the movement of capital", as though he were privy to some privileged perspective, unbeknownst to the rest of the armies of investment bankers and accountants who would ostensibly claim the same thing. I'm tired of this one dimensional comparison of the good old productive Keynesian days to the "post-70s parasitic financial speculation era". Give us something new to chew on. Even considered from a polemical perspective, he looks bored.
