CasP remains a marginal theory of society. Not too many people know about it, and only a few use it in their research. But let’s assume the theory does pick up and imagine what its acceptance might mean:

    1.

First, fast forward to 2050. Imagine that social thinkers, scientists and commentators, cognisant of the primacy of power relations, have endorsed CasP. And imagine further that they have contributed to the development of a broad theoretical and empirical CasP model of society. What do you think this broad model might look like?

    2.

Now continue your time travel to 2080. By then, the CasP model gained prominence; but as often happens in the sciences, it also saw the emergence of theoretical and empirical cracks. A growing number of writers now call for ‘post-caspism’. What do think such post-caspism might look like?
